Lesser Known Historic Buildings of Limerick - Monday Jan 15th, 2018 8PM


Limerick Historical Society will hold its first lecture, of 2018, on Monday January 15th next. Following repeated requests; the illustrated lecture will be given by Tony Browne and it will feature the lesser known buildings of Limerick. Among the buildings that will feature will be Trinity Church, Catherine Street and Miss Fogarty’s School on O’Connell Avenue, Limerick.

Dagmar O'Rían's alternative Christmas story - Monday Dec 11th, 2017 8PM

Summer Walks: The Canal, Wed, Sept. 12th,2017


Limerick Historical Society walk on Wed September 13th will be along The Canal Walk where Tony Browne will give us an insight into this 18th century infrastructure and some of the historic buildings along the banks.   Starting from  Baal's Bridge at 7PM.  Non members welcome.

This historic walk will assemble outside the Strand Hotel, at 7 p.m.  From there we will proceed down Clancy Strand.
