The Building of Ardnacrusha

In 1925 the new Irish state undertook one of the largest hydro electric projects in the world at that time. The project was massively important to our region and was a major modernising influence on the Ireland of the following decades.  Dr Joachim Fischer of UL will present research material and images about the the building of the Shannon Scheme.
