Limerick Historical Society will hold its next evening walk on Wednesday 10th August. Assemble at Barrington's Hospital, George's Quay at 7PM. After a talk on the Hospital we will proceed to Castle Street for a guided tour of the North Munster Masonic Centre.
The hospital was built in 1830, by the Barrington family of Glenstal, Murroe, at a cost of €10,000. Initially, there will be a talk on the Barringtons and the houses associated with the family. From there we will proceed down Mary Street to take in some sights along the way and we will finish with a guided tour of the North Munster Masonic Centre. Everybody is welcome and there is no charge.
